Storm - July 7, 2004

Around 5:30pm on July 7, 2004, we had a bad thunderstorm come through town. It took down some big pecan limbs on a tree next to the carport I keep the boat under. There were trees uprooted all around town. A huge tree was uprooted at a Drs office down the road from us and landed on someone's Caddilac.

Katie and our neighbor went down to take some pictures at the Drs office. The top of this tree landed on a white Caddilac.
Katie standing next to the tree at the Drs office. My brother-in-law has a lawn service and had just finished cutting the lawn there 30 minutes before.
Our boats are parked under that aluminum carport.
This limb missed the carport by about 3'. It would've done some major damage if it had hit the carport.
Base of the limb that missed the carport. You can also see the smaller limb that did hit the carport.
Minor damage to the carport. Near the top right in this picture you can see a bulge where the limb first landed. The bulge is right over the stern of the boat.
This shows the route I pull the boat out of the carport. Got to clear a few limbs before the next boat outing.
Limb that landed on top of the carport and bounced off.
