Animator's Palate

7:00 am comes early, and I had pulled coffee duty that day. Well, actually I pulled coffee duty every day on this trip, it *is * Suzie's birthday cruise ya' know. I ran into Dale by the Mickey pool, he must get up *early*!

I rarely walk around without my camera (did you notice?) and got some good sunrise photos from aft on deck 10, just upstairs from the ship's 24 hour coffee supply.

We were not far from Nassau so after delivering Suzie's coffee I went back up to check out the docking manuevers.

Just as I thought we were heading in Captain Henry turned the Wonder around and backed into port! Nice move!

Breakfast! Parrot Cay sounded good this morning and was full of characters to boot!

Hook Donald Daisy Goofy and the head cheese himself were all there.

The food was good and we ate enough of it too! Properly nourished, we were ready for a hard day ashore...

Carnival's "Fantasy" had been leading/following us through the night and docked a short time after we did.

Nassau

Some people like Nassau, some don't. It just was not our kind of town. 'Nuff said, we headed back to the ship after about an hour for a little r&r

Island Magic

We found Ed and Candy back on the ship and there was a small show playing soon in the Buena Vista theater so we went to see how it was. Minnie , Goofy, Chip & Dale, Pluto, and Casey were getting Castaway Cay ready for our arrival, with Captain Mickey commanding the ship. The mean old Captain Hook figured there must be treasure about and he planned to get it! Goofy combed the beach and did an island dance with Minnie and Casey. Casey tried to stop Captain Hook but that didn't work too well. Minnie & Casey captured Hook and saved the day, with Mickey's help.

With Captain Hook out of commission Castway Cay was ready for us, first thing tomorrow!

I checked out "Who Wants to be a Mousketeer", hosted by "Hades" from "Hercules the MUSEical" the night before.

I would have been out of the running by question #4! How do people remember all that Disney stuff?

By this time another ship had docked, Royal Caribbean's "Explorer of the Seas".

Nassau is a busy place!

Triton's

It was also about time for lunch! ;) We cleaned up a bit and walked down to Triton's.

Hey, it was good the night before, maybe lunch will be good too.

Oh, yes! ;) Nora (from Hungary) and O'Neill served up a full four course lunch, as tasty as our dinner the night before. O'Neill, like Dale, is from Jamaica, an island we just *have* to visit sometime.

Back in our room, we had a good view of Royal Caribbean's "Explorer of the Seas". This ship was perhaps slightly larger than the Wonder but way short on characters. The next shortcoming showed up when the Explorer pulled out of port. Their captain sounded the horn, and our captain replied with the Wonder's loud tune.

After a couple rounds of 'dueling ship horns' the Explorer seemed to be kinda' skulking out of port.

With the Explorer gone we had a good view of Atlantis, glowing in the setting sun.

Cabaret

The big show tonight was magician / comedian, John Ferrentino. Was he good and was he funny?

Yes, and yes!

"Danger, Spooky Stuff Inside...Ooooohhhhh". Ok, I guess you had to be there.

We laughed *hard* at the silly jokes, partly because his delivery was so good, as in "I can make any balloon animal, any one at all, as long as it's a dog.

For dinner, Animator's Palate was on our schedule tonight! We had read about the dinner show and were quite impressed by the spectacle of this restaurant! Photos can not tell the story , the servers outfits, the surroundings , and even the place setting are all key parts of the magic of this presentation. The food was as good or maybe better than Triton's, a hard act to follow.

Speaking of a hard act to follow, Dale and Luzanne were at their best tonight!

The Goodbye Nassau party was starting on decks 9 & 10 just what we needed, more food!!! The party was rockin' and rollin' and in the middle of it all the Wonder started pulling out of port!

We're off to Castaway Cay!!!

Back in our room, Alex had fashioned a towel monkey, swinging from the hanger and eating chocolates bringing another magic day on the Wonder to a close. Or is it another wondrous day on the Magic...? Or... ;)
