This trip started off like many of our other Walt Disney World trips, Suzie arrived at my house so we could take my minivan to the airport. But this trip *was* different, and we drank celebratory beers at RDU airport for Suzie's 
upcoming birthday as we met Ed & Candy 
at the bar.
We were going to WDW again but mainly to get an early start towards Port Canaveral for Suzie's Magical 50th Birthday Cruise on the Disney Wonder! Candy always wanted to go on a cruise too and this was a perfect time since her birthday was only a week later.
Delta Airlines got us to MCO (via Daytona) 
in good time 
where National provided a Buick Regal (bleaah).
Suzie could think of no better place to awaken on her birthday than Disney's Boardwalk, 
and we had a villa right on the boardwalk 
with a great view of Spaceship Earth 
. The evening ended in rain, and plenty of it but we were lucky enough to move our table at Big River Grille from outside to inside when the rain started (thanks Philip)!
With our tummies full and the sound of rain outside we drifted off to sleep, anticipating the big day ahead!
