This was a small sawmill that appeared to have popped up just outside Newland along the road down to Elk Park. They haven't changed much in the last hundred years. Substitute some older power for the diesel generator, get rid of the tractors in the background, and this could almost be something out of the early twentieth century. Although it may be just a little too clean to have been around in that era.
