Ex-ET&WNC standard gauge speeder #2. This big,
homemade speeder was originally built narrow gauge, then made
standard gauge by the railroad. It's sitting over a narrow gauge
pit in the Johnson City engine house that has had the rails widened
to standard gauge. This thing is big, heavy and powered by an
old flathead Ford engine. The speeder was donated the ET&WNC
RR Historical Society (although I don't think everyone could
get on at one time) and it was subsequently donated to the Doe
River Gorge Christian Camp. It is in the process of being returned
to narrow gauge and restored now.
