Here's the bottom end of the culvert underneath Buchanon Fill between Minneapolis and Cranberry. It goes back straight about 10 feet and then up about 50 feet at about a 45 degree angle to the top where it straightens out again. This opening was about 5 feet tall. This was the fill that was used as a dam, if you remember from a previous photo. This fill was situated on a very steep hill and was a trestle before being filled. The trestle had to have been about 80 feet high on the downslope side. It's interesting sometimes how the railroad solved drainage problems.
