This little underpass is very often overlooked. It took me several years of exploring before I ran across it. It is on the grade leaving Johnson City just to the east of the yard. The date on it says 1948, and I believe the road was probably just a crossing until they built up the right-of-way to ease the grade out of town. If that is correct, then you can tell how much fill they added to flatten this grade.
