The web site you are visiting now is geared to teaching younger children grades K - 4.
There is little information available for teaching this group. The objectives for
these children are preparations for teaching actual Holocaust facts in the upper grades.
Web sites mentioned here are almost exclusively
useful for older children, grades 5 and up. Teachers should visit these links to expand their knowledge
of the Holocaust. Also, there are many useful ideas that can be translated to a more elementary level for
young learners.

There are many quality web sites devoted to the Holocaust. Only three will be presented here because it is the opinion
of this author that they are the best.

"And to them will I give in my house and within my walls a memorial ...
an everlasting name [a "yad vashem"], that shall not be cut off."
(Isaiah, chapter 56, verse 5)
Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Authority, was established in 1953
by an act of the Israeli Knesset in order to commemorate the six million Jews murdered by the Nazis
and their collaborators, the Jewish communities which were destroyed in an attempt to eradicate the
name and culture of Israel, as well as the heroism and fortitude of the Jews and the Righteous Among the Nations.
