  Samuel and his brother John sailed from London in the ship "Housemaid" or "Handmaid", Capt. Grant, Master, on August 10, 1630 and arrived at Plymouth, Massachusetts OCT 29 1630. He helped found Middleboro, 1640. He was one of the first settlers of Swansea, Massachusetts in 1667.
