How we answer
some of
those questions

Spirituality
We all come with various internalized meanings of spirituality. We enrich and expand our understanding as we learn to share and listen to one another, creating a sanctuary that honors diverse spiritual paths.

Feminism
In a feminist community all are valued, including those people who are often marginalized by the dominant culture because of age, disability, class, race, sexual orientation, gender, etc. Feminist perspective expands our world view and encourages us to follow our dreams.

Subjectivity
The subjective is what makes me unique, human, weak and strong, capable of being what ever I will be, aware of what I really am. . . . Having subjectivity as a core value, a guiding principle, frees me from making assumptions about others, passing judgement upon their paths; it sets me free from thinking I know what is best for another. . . . Respecting another’s subjectivity liberates me from believing my experience defines the world. It delivers me from arrogance and self-absorption. It gives me permission to play, to dabble, and to take risks and change.

Existence
“Existence precedes essence” means that what I do, how I spend my energy and time, how I move in the world, is who I am. And my experience is that this way of being is made more vibrant and rich when it is done in community with others who are also committed to conscious living. There is healing and joy, comfort and release when we live out loud with each other.
