Intelligent, Fiscally-Responsible Liberalism vs Neo-Conservative Hypocrisy & Pseudo-Religious Bigotry

"In Germany, the Nazis first came for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, but I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time there was no one left to speak up for me." — Martin Niemoeller, Berlin Lutheran pastor arrested by the Gestapo, sent to Dachau concentration camp in 1938, and freed by Allied forces seven years later.

The Grand Old Party has been hijacked. Gone are the true conservatives who once cared for their country, their communities, and their people. In their stead, the new Republican represents either a "me first and screw you" robber-baron attitude of corporate profit and private greed or a degree of religious bigotry and intolerance not seen since the Pilgrims burned reputed witches at the stake in colonial Salem. Sadly, were the party's famous hero, Abraham Lincoln, alive today, he would most likely be a leader in opposition of what is rapidly becoming a fascist theocracy dominated by neo-conservative corporate and political elitists and pseudo-religious charlatans the likes of whom the Taliban would be proud.

"ex.libris.weh" is actually my list of books, arranged by author and title, complete with links to amazon.com, on a website called librarything.com — a personal card catalog system online (completely free for under 200 entries and very inexpensive – $10 per year or $25 for life – for over 200, or over 2,000, or even 20,000 titles). Check it out!
Please note that I have no affiliation with the librarything.com website, or its owners; nor have they with me. I make no claim as to their political affiliation or beliefs; I simply find their site to be a wonderful tool easily adapted to my purposes.

- Pressure by the Administration and the US Military may result in some of the material covered by these two films being censored.
- Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), a think tank funded by the oil industry, has launced a multi-million dollar advertising attack on Al Gore and this film, claiming there is no scientific evidence of global warming despite near-universal acceptance within the scientific community that the evidence is overwhelming.
