Hoot Owl Ranch is a private park with Grand Daddy Oaks, plenty of deer, humming
birds, cardnials, owls, hawks and many other wildlife creatures. Though it looks quite natural these 10 acres were carefully
landscaped over a 30 year period to ensure that it would look very natural. Even the large boulders were carefully placed.
Besides Oak trees we also have Cedar, Magnolia trees, maple, hickory, summer lilac, winter and spring blooming Azalias, wildflowers,
winter rye grass, Dog wood trees, beautiful hybrid camilias, and much more. Ray spent 35 years and a small fortune landscaping
& maintaining the integrity of a natural private garden hidden behind a border of protective and privacy giving
trees.
If you are a nature lover you will enjoy your stay. Also locally we have a down
town area 5 minutes away in High Springs with quaint shops full of crafts and antiques.
We are also surrounded by natural springs only 5-12 minutes away driving distance.
Many divers come from all over the world to visit these springs. This is also a great place for photography enthusiasts,
as you can see the same setting can look completely different at different times of the year. The top picture is in Spring,
the one under it is in the Winter.
If you like walking in the country, a walk 2 & 1/2 times around the inner perimeter
of the property will equal a mile.
