Thanks for stopping by my site. My straps are custom made
from 5/8" wide medium brown top grain leather and they will fit "A"
or "F" style mandolins. They are very durable and have a rough-finished
inner side that helps to keep the strap from slipping on your shoulder.
I will cut the straps to any length as well as place the button holes
exactly where you need them. The cost includes shipping cost to any address
inside the continental United States. Please send all inquiries to
godwinr@mindspring.com.

Send your payment of $15.00 to the following address:

Measuring For Your Strap
So, how do you measure for your strap? Click on "A"-style or "F"-style
for suggestions. Both strap types are identical but the reference
points on the instrument are different.
Measuring for your 'A'-style strap
Using heavy thread, cord, or thin rope, loop it around the endpin
of the mandolin and secure it. I like to use clothes pins to do
this. Once you have the cord secured at the end pin, hold the mandolin
in playing position and place the cord around your body as you would the
strap. Loop the loose end of the cord around the headstock just
behind the nut and secure it. Adjust the cord length until you get
the instrument in your playing position. Now, all you have to do
is measure the length of the cord from endpin to nut.
Omit the length of the loop as I will adjust for that. [back to the top]
