Clinics are scheduled as three lessons per day, each lasting two hours. The first 30 minutes of each lesson is a lecture, leaving one-and-a-half hours for training on horseback. Generally, clinic organizers group riders based on fence height (for example, offering a 2'6" class, a 2'9 class, and a 3' class). Occasionally, there are requests that "flatwork only" be one of the three lessons. In this case, the flatwork can range from the basics to the most advanced flat tests, according to the riders' abilities and needs. Clinic fee: $1000 per day (plus reimbursement for standard expenses, such as food, lodging, car travel at 50 cents per mile, airport parking, and airline ticket). Airline reservations and ticketing to be provided by clinic organizer. (Birmingham, AL, offers the closest airport; Atlanta, GA, is the other option.)
