“Insects and Anxious Objects” - a multi-media performance with interactive slide and video projections and live music performed on hybrid musical instruments made from household objects, sports equipment, and tools. This work explores the structure, point of view, reproductive capacity, transformative capabilities, sound-producing mechanisms, surreal behavioral patterns, and ultimate adaptability of insects. It could be called essentially an obsessive abstract rumination on insect existentialism and morphology. It was performed with Dina Emerson - vocals, Rufus Cappadocia - electric cello, Satoshi Takeishi - percussion, and Carlton Bright - video manipulation.
