The cemetery is located about 5 miles north of
Spencer, IN, off State Road 231.

Some of the headstones in this cemetery may have
been lost with time. A survey in 1998, produced less
transcripts than were found in a survey done in the middle 80's.

- Directions to Pleasant Bethel: In southern Indiana,
north of Worthington on St. Rd. 67. The cemetery is 2.3
miles to the west of St. Road 67.
Turn west on 50E. off of SR 67. The road splits and
turns, to become in order 910 N, 925W, 700S.
Turn left from 700S onto 875 W. The cemetery
is across from Pleasant Bethel Church, which has a red
roof. The area is farmland and not difficult to
find.

It appears that these smaller stones,
listed below, were probably placed on the graves at the time of
death, and that later generations placed the larger stone listed
above to ensure their markings since the smaller stones were
apparently fading with time. Date differences on Abraham's
stones are likely due to an error by the carver, or perhaps
verification at the time of placing the new stone warranted a
different date.

To the left of this (larger) stone is a small stone for Juda
with the rest unreadable.
To the left of this (Juda) stone is Lillie, July 18,
1876-Sept. 12 (unreadable), Daughter of Frank and
(unreadable).

if this is a Medaris grave, as I have no listing for a
Frank in this related line who could have a daughter b.
in 1876)
