The 45 mile section of the Chattahoochee River bound by US Highway 41 at the downstream end and Buford Dam at the upstream is designated a National Recreational Area. As such, it falls under the jurisdiction of the National Parks Service, who maintain the same regulations as our other National Parks. These regulations do prohibit the operation of a hovercraft.
