When I first heard the word
Christmas I did not understand what it meant. Good ole Gretchen told me not to worry
about it. She told me I wasn't getting nuttin for Christmas anyway, because she was
going to snitch on me.

Mommy got Gretchen & me pretty new
sweaters to wear at Christmas. I loved to pull Gretchen all around the house by her
sweater until I got caught & the dreaded spanking paper appeared.
Mommy & Daddy put, of all things,
a tree in our living room. They put lots of pretty lights & decorations on
it. I became quite an expert at pulling off ornaments & running off with
them. But sure enough true to her words, the snitch would run off & get
Mommy! After several encounters with that darned spanking paper I decided to leave
those stupid ornaments alone.

I really liked all of those packages
under the tree - they were so pretty I just couldn't resist them! But once again the
snitch would run off to tell on me. I became very attached to a package with a big,
beautiful bow on it. Finally after many days Mommy & Daddy decided to let
me play with it (due to my persistence, I might add). Every day, I spent lots of
time dragging it up & down the hall & all over the living room.
The snitch & my two cousins (Kate
& Drake) all ate their Christmas turkey together. Can you believe I was banned
from eating with them? And it was all because of a misunderstanding. Everyone
thought I was trying to eat their food, but that wasn't the case at all. The fact is
that all three of them were being very selfish! There are times when nobody in my
house will listen to my side of the story.

Daddy always picks me up & carries
me every where with him. He told me Gretchen was going to be very surprised because
Santa would be bringing me presents too. Well, I didn't know who Santa was but the
presents sounded like a good deal to me!
As always Daddy was right, that Santa
brought me lots & lots of toys. By the way I got a LOT more toys than those
other selfish dogs got! Boy, oh boy, I love that Santa guy!

Well, I am still not sure who Santa
is, but I guess he must come to visit us every Christmas! I can tell you for
sure that I can hardly wait for Christmas to come again. I hope all of my friends
had a wonderful Christmas too!
