Newfoundland's
take transportation
to a different level
Nancy Nevin, a dog trainer, has the envy of many who see her passing in the Mundelein area.
She has a pair of Newfoundlands, a special breed highly regarded as
working dogs and water dogs.
Hers, named Sailor and Stoker, have been trained to pull her four-wheeled carriage working in tandem. And they have been trained to turn on voice commands.
Nancy and her dogs live in Mundelein and use the streets in the Loch Lomond area on the village's northwest side for their workouts.
Nancy said the carriage was built in Norway.
