Here’s what people are saying about the new book

Dynamic Belly Dance,

The Joyful Journey of Dancemaking and Performing:

"Ramona, your book is fabulous! I found myself nodding my head while I was reading it. Your ideas and concepts are full of insight and true information. I especially appreciated the organization and scientific approach to the material. It was very easy and pleasant to read."

Carolena Nericcio, director of FatChanceBellyDance (San Fransisco, California)

"...Great how-to book that reads easily for those belly dance students who are interested in new ideas on either developing choreographed or improvisational dances. This is the only belly dance book in print dedicated to educating readers on how to create both. Ramona's bold approach on a subject much needed in our dance community is very well written and the sections on presentation techniques and stage presence skills are from real-life examples and stories about creating dances and presenting them to audiences."

Belly Dance, A Raqs Sharqi Magazine (U.S.A.)

"I have to say that I LOVE your book!! At $40, I thought it was a risky splurge....but now I think I got an incredible bargain! It is chock-full of very useful ideas and insights (not to mention the gorgeous full-color photos). Literally, within 48 hours of receiving this book,I was already building my own choreographies for the first time, which is something I have wanted to do for years but I didn't know where to begin. Thank you, Ramona!! Your book has been a real blessing."

Petra (Seattle, Washington)

"...an impressive package, with thick glossy paper and colour photography throughout...peppered along the way with thought-provoking comments that resonate...most chapters are concluded with ideas for contemplation - which makes you re-evaluate what you have read and also is a useful tool in the application of the knowledge you have just received...a well-evolved book...a useful addition for any choreographer of Middle Eastern Dance..."

Taqasim Magazine (United Kingdom)

“…Overflowing with ideas and suggestions to help dancers learn, grow and believe in their talents and abilities. The information is presented in a very straight forward, easy to understand format…This is a wonderful guide and resource to improving your dance making, choreography, and performing abilities.”

The Chronicles Magazine (U.S.A.)

"...all I can say is OMG WHY DID I NOT HAVE THIS BOOK BEFORE??? I LOVE IT!! I have a feeling my dancing will grow by leaps and bounds...I almost feel like it was written for me."

Sunayna (Texas)

Ramona doesn’t make her instruction of dance into some isolated art that only the dancing elite with washboard stomachs and who wear fashionable jeans that come in single digits can enjoy… By the way, as far as the photos go, she has dancers who represent the beautiful shapes and complexions that we women come in.  You can find the standard skinny minnies here along with the queens who represent the B&B clique.  I actually enjoyed Ramona’s style because she seems like the type of down home girl who will regale you with an awesome performance and then have an after party complete with pizza, cake and Greek salad with extra feta cheese (okay, that is just my little wish).  She doesn’t seem like a vicious gym bunny but rather a regular woman who does extraordinary bellydancing.”

The Gilded Serpent (U.S.A.)

"This book was very easy to read and has lots of good quality photographs illustrating many aspects of belly dance. It contains lots of ideas for creating dances from almost anything...A lot of excellent information and tips that are summarized...It is a very postive book that anyone with a love of music and dance would enjoy reading."

NADA Magazine (United Kingdom)

“Wow, a zero to 60 bellydance experience! Enjoyable for everyone, even a truly new beginner.”

Sheryl Parsons, actress  (Atlanta, Georgia)

"Ramona, I've just read your book, which I enjoyed very much...I thought it was very clear and well written, with lots of good, practical advice."

Wendy Buonaventura, author of Serpent of the Nile (United Kingdom)

"This isn't just a coffee table book with gorgeous images and little 'meat', this is more akin to a Bellydancing course. I think it would be useful for students and teachers alike as a source of information and inspiration..."

Bellydance News (United Kingdom)
