The Rock Presbyterian Church
is a small, but growing, church in Stockbridge, Georgia. We are
comprised of approximately fifty people... but, of course, that
number is changing.
We are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America. The PCA, often confused with the mainline Presbyterian Church United States of America, is the smaller, more conservative presbyterian body. The PCA believes the Bible to be inerrant and infallible in its original autographs. Its standards are the Bible, the Westminster Confession of Faith, and The PCA Book of Church Order. It is also very evangelistically oriented. As such, it is one of the fastest growing denominations in the world.
Like the PCA, The Rock Presbyterian is sound, alive, warm and friendly. We are also very family oriented.
Our members come from every walk of life; from factory worker to airline pilot to certified public accountant. Our children are homeschooled, publicly schooled and Christian schooled. We are very inclusive. Those who visit here always come away impressed with how diverse and yet warm the body life is. It is impossible to be anonymous here.
Our worship style tends to be traditional, but not "high church." There is always a blend of worship choruses and hymns. The accent is on the preaching of the Word.
Sunday School begins at 9:45 am
Morning Worship is at 11:00 am
Evening Fellowship and K.I.C.K.s is at 6:00 pm
The church property is located on 8.5 acres between Stockbridge and McDonough. Because of our desire to grow, and the need for better visibility from the highway, we are planning to build a new building at the top of the hill nearer the road.
