There is an essential difference between the way the CON defines

"success" and "failure" and the way that the SubGenius defines them.

The SubGenius definition is superiour because it is the original

definition. The CON, in its infinite true evil has substituted the

word failure for "bad" and success for "good"...but only when the CON

gets to define the various levels of success. You can be a success in

your own eyes, but the CON will still label you "failure" and deny

your basic goodness.

The SubGenius realizes that success and failure are terms which define

a lifetime for an individual. The only time a SubGenius fails in the

eyes of Mutha T, is when he or she gives up and allows the CON to win

without a fight. It is our pain and suffering which sweeten the souls

for the mix. If we give up we lose that frustration factor which comes

from fighting an all but insurmountable enemy. Frustration is the

"creeper" bud of Soulmix. The Elder Gods dig the shit out of it, I

hear.

Sometimes we forget and allow the CON to define failure for us. We

allow them to tell us that popularity and status are what count rather

than personal freedom and Slack.

Every day is a challenge and a calling for SubGenii. Somehow they must

put forth antiCON messages, somehow they must cry out in the

wilderness, subverting at the same time they seek out others of their

kind. Every time you swallow that bile instead of spewing it, you are

denying your SubGenius self. That minor amount of frustration is

NOTHING, a gnat's turd, compared to the TRUE frustration of the blank

looks or rote recitations of CON thought that will greet your epistles

to the Pink Boys. But you must continue..."Bob" needs the souls. He's

buying us time, but the mix must be kick-ass! The ONE SubGenius you

ferret out by raving in the faces of thousands of Pinks will be worth

it to "Bob." As "Bob" is an honest salesman, he will give you value

for value in that most precious commodity: Slack.

Pursuit of your own beliefs, goals, and dreams in the face of all odds

makes your soul sweeter and brings you Slack. Is there any greater

success than that? Is there any greater good?
