         A warrant dated on the 1st day of September, 1834, which represented 200 acres of vacant land
            was presented to James West who later transferred this land to the possession of Burrell Lanier.

            Burrell first married Tabitha Aarons of Emanuel County, Georgia, and second married Elizabeth
            Bowen.  Burrell and his first wife are buried in Ash Branch Church Cemetery near Pembroke, Georgia.

            Burrell died intestate in June of 1866.   Lovin Madison Lanier, his son, was appointed administrator
            of the estate in September.   According to a Deed of Conveyance,  200 acres belonging to Burrell  
            was transferred to his son, L. M. Lanier, about a year prior to Burrell's death.
