My Grand Canyon photographs are a by product of working on the Colorado River as a boatman since the early 1980’s. One of the most magical places on the planet for light, I have had the good fortune to be witness to those rare and special moments that are fleeting and never to be seen again.

The images from Mongolia come from my work there as director of Flagstaff International Relief Effort. FIRE is a grassroots, all volunteer, non profit, non political and non denominational organization in the business of collecting, sorting, packing and shipping clothing, medicine and other essentials to Mongolia. We then fly ourselves over and hand the items directly to the people. Many of the portraits are from a self published documentary work of these people accepting our clothing.

The images of activities and cultural lifestyles in Central America are from an assignment for two different adventure outfitters during the winter of 2002.
