A couple of weeks ago, Sarah sent me a copy of her letter to Les Moonves (at CBS, who also oversees UPN) and, hopefully, Dawn Ostroff (head of UPN). I was fairly impressed, and read it to my brother, who suggested I print it on my site, and since Sarah agreed... here it is.

Dear Mr. Moonves:
Just a note from an avid fan of Enterprise, not to mention Scott Bakula, to voice my concern about the rumors I am hearing about the fate of Enterprise.
First, I just want to say that Enterprise is the only show that draws me to UPN. I find Enterprise to be a quality program which deserves to remain on the air. There are fewer and fewer TV shows on these days that I will even bother watching. In fact, I only watch three TV shows, one being Enterprise on UPN, (of course) and the other two on PAX. There is so much trash on TV these days that it would be a shame to take something off the air that is actually worth sitting down and taking the time to see.
Enterprise is entertaining and a pleasure to watch. Reality shows and wrestling, on the other hand, are not! If this is what "entertainment" is heading toward, I can promise you will lose me as a viewer because I find no value in these types of shows.
The reality TV shows are fads, anyway. It's much better to stay with a show that has character, with great actors behind it that are willing to give their fans their all in order to entertain them.
Don't be guilty of following everyone else down the slippery slope of going to reality shows or sitcoms, such as the Mullets. The Mullets is not humorous -- it is pathetic. I would much rather support UPN or any other network who sticks by its guns and run programs that demonstrate a positive message and are clever and witty. We need programs that are adventuresome and that spark the imagination --challenging, and boldly going where others were afraid to venture. This is what Enterprise is to me, and I am not alone in my admiration of this series.
In the world of finance, people who succeed are the ones who go the distance. A person who purchases good stock rides out the times when the stock might take a dip. Some people will panic and sell their stock, but the wise ones will "let it ride." Over time, their decision to ride out the storm proves to be a financially sound investment which brings in a substantial gain. I believe the same can be said about Enterprise. It is of good stock and a financially sound "investment."
Sincerely,
Sarah
