This will be a wonderful evening of international songs with Joy Bennett, Jerry Epstein, Alan Friend, Chris Koldewey, Anne Price, Heather Wood and many others. Bring a song of your own to share in the second half of the concert. Sign up when you come..

This concert is part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days, an annual worldwide network of concerts that uses the universal language of music to diminish hatred, respect differences, and reach out in global friendship.

*** NEW ENGLAND FOLK FESTIVAL (NEFFA) ***

at the Mansfield High & Middle Schools in Mansfield, Massachusettes. Note that this is a new location for NEFFA.

He will do old-time tunes and songs, some with banjo and some with guitar.

Right before that, at 10:00 AM, ALAN will play concertina and dance with the GREENWICH MORRIS MEN and other morris teams in a program of morris and sword dances.

*** Folklore Society of Greater Washington’s *** MINI-FEST***.

He will be performing a set of traditional American and English songs and tunes with banjo and concertina accompaniment at 12:30 PM.

The MINI-FEST will be held from Noon – 10:00 PM at
Takoma Park Middle School 7611 Piney Branch Road Silver Spring, MD

Admission is $15 all day or $10 half day (afternoon or evening)

Park Slope Food Co-op VARIETY SHOW


The show will have entertainment ranging from Old-time music to opera, from pop music to poetry, from classical music to comedy, etc., etc.!

This is a benefit for the Coop.

Tickets are $10, $6 for children under 12 and limited income.
