The purpose of this web page is to introduce myself (Al Burgis) to those of you who may have happened upon it by accident or through friends of mine. I am very new to this mode of exposure and communication but I can see that it holds great possibilities for learning, exposure and entertainment.

My wife, Beverly, and I hail from New Orleans, Louisiana and have been working and living in the Tampa-St Petersburg-Clearwater area of Florida for over 30 years. I am a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University (formerly Southeastern Louisiana College) in Physics and my wife graduated from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Biology. Two children; boys; both grads of U of Florida; older is a Mapping and Surveying major; younger is a Chem Engineer. We both still work though we both have retired.
