An oral history interview with visual/sound artist Sara Roberts by Sharon Cheslow is now available through California Institute of the Arts, where Sara Roberts teaches. The interview was conducted in 2012 as part of a series on the impact of the Great Recession, and this particular interview focuses on changes for women in the arts in California. Below is a photo of Sara Roberts participating with her Earbees in Sharon Cheslow & Coterie Exchange's Sonic Triptych in 2007.

Chalk Circle's "The Slap" is included in the D.C. regional playlist selected by Allison Wolfe for the touring Alien She riot grrrl exhibit, which will be at Vox Populi (Philadelphia, PA) from March 7 - April 27, 2014, and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (San Francisco, CA) from Oct. 2014 - Jan. 2015. A very short snippet of Suture's "Pretty Is" is in the new film about Kathleen Hanna, The Punk Singer, along with a lot of other great music by Kathleen's other bands. The very first Decomposition 7", released in 1992, was a Suture EP with "Pretty Is" on it. Suture existed from 1991-92, with Kathleen Hanna, Sharon Cheslow, and Dug Birdzell. Suture performed at the International Pop Underground Convention (IPU) in August 1991...below are photos of Suture from that summer in Olympia, WA.
