The Quails, with ex-Electrolette Julianna Bright, will be playing some shows on the east coast at the end of June.
Sharon Cheslow will be performing Geodessy for Guitars at Lady Fest in Olympia, WA at a group art show opening in the warehouse above K Records August 4th with Amy Yao and Wendy Yao from Emily's Sassy Lime. She will also contribute text for a group curatorial exhibit, Deterritorializing the Territorialized, at BaseKamp opening June 9th 5-9pm (215.592.7288, 723 Chestnut St second floor, Philadelphia, PA). The Experience Music Project in Seattle, WA, set to open in June, will be featuring some of her photos and some video interview footage. She'll be presenting her sound installations at The Smell in LA at a show with Semiautomatic on Aug. 26th (213.625.4325, 247 S. Main).
Sharon's Interrobang?! #4 anthology of writings on music and transcendence will be out in the Fall. It will feature: Pauline Oliveros, Maggi Payne, Public Works, Melissa Klein, Nicole Panter, Jay Gould-Stuckey, Randy Nordschow, an Oxbow tour diary by Niko Wenner, an interview with Terre Thaemlitz by Marc Kate, and an interview with Jean Shephard by Allison Wolfe.
The Champs with Tim Green (Red Eye, Louder Records) are doing a west coast tour the end of May. Their new record on Drag City will be out in early September. In addition to the upcoming Concentrick cd on Deluxe, Tim will be releasing a split cd with Rop from Semiautomatic on Vex.

The Lies (ex-Bonnot Gang) are currently writing their new record due out on Kill Rock Stars sometime next year. They are planning a tour of the west coast and arizona in October with The Subtonix. Sarah Reed and Sadie Shaw have finished the rough edit of their film Charm and are currently working on the soundtrack which will be on 5rc (of which Sadie is now manager). It will include: matt and hayyim formerly of henry's dress, the aislers set, members of the champs doing seperate projects, the need, replikants, deerhoof, sara lund, aaron hartman, thrones, john nikki and, audrey marrs, imaad and russ, the lies, and more.
The Kill Rock Stars video compilation #2 that Sadie is compiling will be due out in September. It will include: julie ruin by sadie benning, semiautomatic, deerhoof, the lies, witchypoo, slim moon, slumber party, penny arcade, jad fair, emily's sassy lime, sta prest, corrections, sleater kinney, bonfire madigan, and short films by sharon cheslow, gary fembot, and matt steinke.
