| Nate Davis
Nate sings tenor and percusses like Mothra on speed! Nate sang tenor, percussed, and was the music director of a very smart school's a cappella group, The Rusty Pipes at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The Rusty Pipes appeared on local television and sang around the East Coast opening for such a cappella luminaries as Five O'Clock Shadow and Rockapella. He accomplished all of this while graduating cum laude with degrees in biology, philosophy, biochemistry, and a masters in business. Nate flirted sinfully with instrumental music, playing jazz trombone for eight years and dabbling with tuba, baritone, and french horn. He has played leading roles in musical theater, as Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music and Julian Marsh in 42nd Street. Nate's a musical omnivore, chowing down on jazz, classical, modern rock and pop -- all in the same meal. Nate, who is engaged to Erin, works for a pet supply company, which their five cats consider convenient. |

| Merrilee Tobin
Merrilee is alto in the 'box. An alum of CU's premiere co-ed a cappella group and perennial International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella powerhouse, Extreme Measures, Merrilee's roots are grounded in quality a cappella music. Singing Paula Cole solos with the voice of Dar Williams, Merrilee is the newest addition to Chatterbox. With EM, Merrilee sang at Colorado Governor Bill Owens' inauguration. She sang with CU's university choir and once volunteered to sing the Muppet Show Theme as the Swedish Chef. |

| Matt Svoboda
Matt sings baritenor and percusses like a giant squirt gun gone wild! Before he moved back to his hometown of Denver, Matt sang and played bass for DC-based rock band, Wonderjack. Matt was a long-time college a cappella junkie, singing and directing for UVA's storied and award-winning Academical Village People and Gimble at the University of Michigan. Matt doodles constantly, and his sketches of flying buildings make his employer, an architectural firm, more than a little nervous. | ![]()
| Erin Shea
As a soprano, Erin sang the high stuff for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's The Rusty Pipes, where she met Nate (they're engaged!). Erin directed the Pipes for a year, and was fortunate enough to sing with Rockapella. As a classical vocal performance major, Erin took voice lessons for five years and loves classical vocal music and opera. Erin's not afraid of pop music, though--she's played Sandy in "Grease" and dreams of singing for Disney! |

| Dave Trendler
Dave sings baritone, percusses, and covers bass during Adam's solos. As the co-founder, music director, and bass for The Humbuckers, Dave spent three years singing rock a cappella all over Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. With The Humbuckers, Dave recorded an award-winning album, competed in three Harmony Sweepstakes events, and sang for some senators and Clinton-era Cabinet members. Dave is an album reviewer and editor for the Recorded A Cappella Review Board, the world's only critical review organization for a cappella music. He also founded Chatterbox. | ![]()
| Adam Scoville
As the low-C-pounding bass for Chatterbox, Adam is the go-to guy in the bottom register. Adam has sung bass in the Boston-area jazz vocal sextet, Pickup 6, and Yale University's Redhot & Blue. With Adam as musical director, Pickup 6 won the Harmony Sweepstakes Boston Regional and performed two of his arrangements at the 1999 national competition. Adam is a native of northern Vermont, but since moving to Colorado, he has hiked more of Colorado's Fourteeners than you can shake a trekking pole at (not to mention Mt. Rainier). During the day Adam is the Corporate Counsel for trademarks for RE/MAX International. |
