yard. We didn't expect to see much else, because of all the rain.

else in NC seems to be celebrating the end of the drought, this sums up our
feelings about the construction delays.

Feb. 3, 2002: There is a roof, windows, and siding. Finally, a good image
of what our house looks like, although it is an overcast day, so the colors
look a bit lackluster.

Feb. 3, 2002: Me in the back, under the sliding glass doors. There is a
slope to the lot, so I'll probably be able to almost stand up under the deck.

Feb. 8, 2002: We have a deck! We have wires and plumbing too, but those
pictures aren't as interesting. This picture was taken during the framing
tour.

Feb. 27, 2002: After 2 weeks of no visible progress, suddenly the
inside of the house is looking very pink.

Feb. 27, 2002: Meanwhile, the forest behind
our house has gotten considerably thinner and see-thru. (sigh)
That'll be other people's back yards someday.

Mar. 14, 2002: Many things have been added since
Sunday (all the sinks and toilets, light fixtures, outlets, thermostats, much
of the vinyl flooring, etc), but there are still many things to go (doorknobs,
stove, shelving, telephone and cable jacks, etc).

Mar. 17, 2002: Carpet! Also, mirrors in the bathrooms, shelves in the
closets, and a few other details.

Mar. 17, 2002: Changes to the outside: a door to the crawlspace,
a trench for utilities, and big green boxes.
