This is a moose I came face to face with as I walked around the corner of a building. As I came face to face with this moose I had to back away -- luckily I had the camera and was able to take a couple of pictures before it wandered off.

Kayakers preparing to ride the bore tide at Bird Point in Turnagain Arm. The bore tide is a small tidal wave that can create a wall of water as high as 6 feet and travel up to 15 mph with an incoming tide.

Denali, called High One, by the Athabascan (Alaska Native) people for thousands of years before the White people arrived and changed the name to Mount McKinley. Denali (Mount McKinley) is the tallest mountain on the North American Continent at 20,320 feet and still growing by by three quarters of an inch a year. Denali (Mount McKinley) is approximately 235 north of Anchorage.
