His owner's comment to this was: "In the meanwhile I know that the problem of mixed breeding the Fila in Brazil is more than a conflict between several clubs, because I have got a Mastiff!" The Fila bitch exported by the EMBIREMA kennel has hip diplacements of the worst type and the fawn bitch imported from the MONTE SANTO kennel is the daughter of a bitch mentioned in the Brazilian bastard list, too. CRUZEIRO kennel is black. According to the "father of the breed", Dr. Paulo Santos Cruz and his school, This color has never been seen in pure Filas. The dog from the BELO CRUZERIO kennel has some ancestors from the KIRONGOZI kennel in his pedigree, which has been publicly accused in Brazil of mixed breeding the Fila with Mastino Napoletano and Great Danes. The owner of both dogs mentioned was urged by publisher of MM not to breed from these imports. Conclusion: Better information and more competent procurement are necessary when importing Filas Brasileiro from Brasil.

Francisco PELTIER DE QUEIROZ Brazilian Fila-expert and co-founder of the CAFIB, who has publicized the mixed breeding in his country in an extensive campaign, was invited to give a comment to the actual situation of the Fila Brasileiro in Rio's broadcasting service GUANABARA.
