I first put a "links" section on this site the last time I gave it a major overhaul. That was a long time ago --- long enough that sites like Powell's, the Internet Movie Database, and The Onion still struck me as newsworthy. Of the other sites I mentioned back then, I'd still rate Bartleby.com and The New York Times Reference Desk as underappreciated resources, and This American Life,Unfiltered Metaspy, and The Museum of Jurassic Technology as plugworthy.

These days, my favorite blogs are BoingBoing and Tom Tomorrow, and I find something deeply, weirdly soothing about The Condiment Packet Museum. As I mentioned in the Current section, I wrote an article a while back about the Social Security baby name database, and though I don't exactly check back in with it on a regular basis, it's good to know it's there.

I like Slow Wave very much indeed --- it's a weekly comic based on its readers' dreams. Today's Front Pages is a collection of front-page images from well over a hundred newspapers from around the world, updated daily. And I Used To Believe is an archive of folks' childhood misconceptions about everything from road signs to death.

Well, like Lyle Lovett says, there's more I remember and more I could mention. But that'll do for now.
