German artist Jutta Degener has kindly created a Flying Pig that has
earned a few chuckles and bravos since it was placed on my home page.
The beast signifies the endless search for psychic powers. The time
has come to name it. Here are the details:

1) Send your entry to

2) The Subject: should contain your name for the pig.

3) The body of your message can contain whatever you wish - it can
even be empty.

4) If you have more than one idea, send more than one message. In the
event of a tie, the person whose message arrived here first with
the winning name will get the prize.

And the prize is: an autographed copy of my "Encyclopedia of the
Occult & Supernatural".

Bear in mind:

(1) This is a mythical animal -- I believe. It is not likely to exist.

(2) It is an equal-opportunity creature.

(3) It is probably female, since my experience with male pigs (not
personal, just observing!) indicates that a boy is significantly
more obvious than a girl. Enough details on that.

(4) The name should reflect the purpose of the pig. No, not imaginary
pork chops or bacon!

But, after all that, the name could just be catchy and amusing.

Ready, set, go! The contest is on!
