He also said, I'm told, that he thought that my "financial backers
would not put up money against him for fear of losing." If he said
this, he was -- not to my surprise -- both wrong and misinformed. I
have no "backers" who approve or disapprove my decisions. I have a
Board of Directors, and the Board has given me the authority to make
the challenge without their prior approval. I have not the slightest
fear that Ed Dames will take the prize. If he were to really apply
for it, he'd find that to be so. But he has never contacted me, and
I've never heard that he has any interest in doing so.
If these reports of what Dames said are true, he will be aping the
others who choose to avoid a confrontation with reality by saying that
the JREF is afraid to test them, or that we tested them and they won,
but were not paid. Nonsense. Such an event has never happened.
Ed Dames, do you wish to accept the challenge of the JREF, as stated
clearly at:
and plainly available to any and all persons?
I await a reply.
(I ask that any persons who have access to Ed Dames forward this message to
him.)
