Introduction to Ayurveda, with Dr. Manjula Paul

Wednesday, June 11,   7-8:30 pm

Ayurveda is a holistic medical system, developed in India some 5000 - 6000 years ago. It teaches that health is maintained by the balance of three subtle energies or forces known as doshas. The purpose of Ayurveda is to bring these forces into harmony, and maintain that harmony through proper diet, Ayurvedic treatments, and specific herbs as directed after an initial consultation with an Ayurvedic Practitioner.

Learn about the therapies Ayurveda offers to enhance and promote constitutional balances for healing, prevention of illness and rejuvenation. There will also be discussion of basic Ayurvedic principles and philosophy and the Ayurvedic approach to life.
