| In Rembrance of Marie:
Our Community was saddened this summer 2002 by the loss of our dear friend, Marie Crosby, who left the Earth plane on July 21st. Marie (or Maria Eugenia) was born in Colombia in 1938. She has been an active and supportive member of our New York City community for more than ten years, volunteering in many capacities over that time.
Marie helped to facilitate Inquirers Groups in Spanish and to start two Spanish-speaking Search For God groups. She assisted in planning fellowship events and with mailings, and volunteered with our Indigo Youth Program, sharing her talents through cooking projects for the children. Marie is best known for the incredible dishes she created for A.R.E events. She catered some Center events, and always brought artistic, delicious culinary creations to potlucks.
Marie is deeply missed and often thought of in our Center. She will be memorialized in our present and future Center, with a plaque naming our kitchen the "Marie Crosby Kitchen." We offer our love, thanks - and prayers that Marie is now even more joyously creative in another realm.
