Facts about      Runaways Each year in the US more than 1 million young people run away from home. There are 300,000-600,000 child prostitutes in the US. Half of the homeless girls have become pregnant at least once. Two  thirds of youths on the streets don't get adequate food ,clothing , shelter or medical care. Eighty percent of street  teens admit to stealing for survival, and one in four have committed a violent crime involving a weapon.
