The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, Atlanta Branch, Inc.

Membership is open to all persons over the age of sixteen interested in the objects of this Local Association (Branch) of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society. Membership in the RSCDS is required for membership in the Local Association (Branch).

Persons age sixteen and under may become Junior Associates.

The objectives of the Local Association (Branch) are:

  • To preserve and further the practice of traditional Scottish Country Dances and modern dances of merit in the traditional style;
  • To provide or assist in providing in the dancing of Scottish Country Dances;
  • To promote the enjoyment and appreciation of Scottish Country Dancing and Music by any suitable means;
  • Generally to do such other things as are or may be considered by the Local Association (Branch) to further the aims of the Society.

The fiscal year runs from July 1st to the following June 30th. Membership includes a copy of the RSCDS Annual Bulletin or news magazine, a selected dance publication, a copy of the Local Association Constitution and Rules and notification of General Meetings. A person may vote at General Meetings who has been a member for at least the thirty days prior to the date of the Meeting. The Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers take place in May each year.

Please use a separate form for each applicant. Membership in more than one Local Association (Branch) is permitted, but the Member must elect the Local Association (Branch) through which he/she wishes to pay Society subscription fees. Please indicate if there is any information on this form which you do not want published.
