Louisiana New Hire/Rehire Reporting Program


You should already know that, effective October 1, 1997, all employers were required to submit the name, address and social security number of all new hires/rehires along with the name, address and federal ID number of the employer to the Louisiana Office of Family Support, Child Support Enforcement within 20 days of the hiring.

ALERT.....................

As of November 1999, you must also report the occupation of the new hire.

The information provided by employers is maintained in a state as well as national database for the purpose of, amounst other things, locating parents to enforce child support obligations.

New hire information can also be transmitted via FTP, diskette and tape media. You may also report new hires by mailing a copy of their W- 4 to the above address.
