He married Audrey Agnes Willcutt 16 July 1932 in Alabama.(4) Audrey was born in Alabama 21 October 1914.(5) Audrey was the daughter of Joel Wilson Willcutt and Trannie (Talitha Tranquilla) Utley. Audrey died 13 September 2000 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, at home.(6) She was buried 15 September 2000 in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, Liberty Hill Cemetery.(7)
