He married Caroline Flewellin in Wake Co., Nc, 17 September 1846. Caroline was born in North Carolina 12
November 1827. Caroline died 30 August 1896 in Alabama, at 68 years of age. Her body was interred in Liberty Hill
Cemetery, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Josiah's occupation: Farmer.
