1. James Hamilton¹ Simpson was born in Alabama 1844.

He married Martha Brown. Martha was born in Alabama 1851. She was the daughter of Jackson Brown and Elizabeth Beard.

James's occupation: Farmer.

James Hamilton Simpson and Martha Brown had the following children:

• 2 i. James M.² Brown was born in Alabama 1870.

• 3 ii. Laura Simpson was born in Alabama 1873. She married John A. Sawyer about 1885. John was born in Alabama DEC 1862. He was the son of Dionysius Sawyer and Elizabeth Daniels. (See John A. Sawyer for the continuation of this line.)
