The home of (John) Michael & Anna Barbara (Smith) Maize
|
 |
... is located slightly over a mile east of New Berlin, PA on State Route 304; the farm passed down through several Maize
generations before being sold outside the family. It is still a working farm, and the stone barn Michael built
in 1819 remains in daily use.

| 1819 Barn and home on the Michael Maize farm |

|
| near New Berlin, Pennsylvania |
The home place of (John) Michael Maize, located slightly over a mile East of New Berlin, PA on State Route 304.
The huge stone barn which Michael Maize erected in 1819 is still intact and in use on the farm. Apparently this is not
the original home, but was constructed in more recent times.
