Laura and Tony Bushing have concocted just about the perfect motorcycling get-away. Whether you like living in the lap of luxury with your bike in a garage and Speed-vision on the tube OR roughing it in a tent, riding on curvy paved roads OR playing in the dirt, the Motorcycle Vacation Resort is the place for you.

We stayed in the lodge - beautifully furnished with pine paneling everywhere and a view to die for - and were very pampered with all meals prepared and served family style at the dining room table. Our bikes stayed in the garage. I took the one day Trials class , using one of their Beta Trials bikes. (image shows Kim and I returning from our day's instruction - notice the big smile on Kim's face) Laura is a terrific instructor with a lot of patience. She is the Women's National Trials champ and knows her way around a tree, up a hill and over a log. I learned the basics required of anyone interested in off-road riding and it was a great warm-up for the next day when Mark and I rented offroad bikes (Suzuki DRs) and rode around some fabulous trails in nearby Prentice Cooper State Park.

My only complaint is that the Motorcycle Vacation Resort isn't closer to NC - not a convenient weekend excursion for us but those of you in Tennessee - don't miss it.
