Her death certificate named Frederick Baumbach as her father, but family tradition has her as a Renneisen. Frederick Baumbach raised her as recorded in the 1880 US Census.

Was Wilhelmina a daughter of a George Baumbach? Or was this an uncorrected error in the registration of Mina's birth? Frederick and Louise recorded her birth in the family bible, but having been born 1 year later. Also note that in the family bible, a Frederick William was recorded as having been born on October 27, 1877. Were Frederick William and Margaretha Wilhelmina twins or one and the same persons? The records are confusing, perhaps intentionally so.

1877 December 3, Mina Baumbach, Certificate of Death, City of New York; age 1 month, 6 days; father's birthplace- Germany; mother's birthplace- Germany; place of death- 322 East 40th St., New York; Cause of Death: Capillary bronchitis, exhaustion

1877 December 4, Mina Baumbach, Buried in Lutheran Cemetery, Lot 4604 Map 5 along with Frederick, Louisa, and many other family members.

1878 October 18 "Our second child baptized Margaretha Wilhelmina was born on the 18th of October 1878" (Johann Frederick Family Bible) This was apparently an erroneous entry, as were 3 of the 4 children listed in the bible as children of Frederick and Louisa Meyer Baumbach.

viii. FREDERICK WILLIAM BAUMBACH, b. October 28, 1877. d. before 1880, New York, NY.
