Beth Meyer's Virtual Cocktail Party
If I could have a virtual party with my friends who
are on the Web, here are just a few of the people I would invite:
- Mark
Meyer, my husband, would of course
be the co-host (and would help clean up the hard disk
after everyone went back home).
- My supervisors and lab-mates at the Human
Attention and Performance Laboratory
at Georgia Tech.
- Matjaz
Debevc, my friend and collaborator
in Slovenia. (The beauty of virtual parties is that
little things like oceans don't matter.)
- "Dr.
Don" Berkowitz, my friend and
source of inspiration from special summer educational
program in 1981. If you want to learn about science,
teaching science, and life in general, he is definitely
someone you want to know!
- The folks from the "Alloy" discussion
list, who would be hanging around the stereo listening to
and talking about Thomas Dolby's music: Paul Baily,
Clif
Brigden, the inimitable crackers,
E(lipse,
James
E. Hartman, Neal
Leacy, Elaine
Linstruth, Lissu,
Steve
McDonald, Russell
Milliner, Robyn
Moore, Lazlo Nibble,
Keith
Stansell, Suzanne
(aka Ms. Sakamoto), Dan Swan,
and Juha
Takkinen -- to name a few.
