That's Marty Dickerson on the outside swooping down
on his formidable Vincent Gray Flash with the exquisite fairing.
Sam Parriott muscles his Triumph on the inside.
Parriot rode an Ariel Square Four to a speed of 131.95 in 1951, setting a new record in the 61 cu. in. C (pump gas) category. Parriott's Ariel was tuned by A. J. Lewis, who has several great shots of this machine up for your viewing. Big Sid says check 'em out! A.J. also tuned Buddy Parriott's 40 cu. in. Triumph that same year; it notched 140.538 mph in a hottly contested battle with Gene Thiessen's B.S.A., which recorded a top run of 143.5477.
