Dave Matson's
bored and stroked, naturally aspirated 1500cc Vincent Special.
In August 1988 Matson recorded a two-way mean speed of 225.643 mph
with the fairing for a new mark (mps-af-2000cc class).
The next day he achieved a mean speed of 210.357 mph without the fairing,
runs which landed him once again at the top (m-af-2000cc class).
These are truly staggering speeds, especially without the aid of a supercharger!
